What exactly is glucomannan?
Glucomannan is a vegetarian fiber derived from the root of the tropical Arachnida “Konjac” (Amorphophallus konjac). Which is a starch-like substance derived from branched carbohydrate chains.
Since about 1500 years the Konjac root in Southeast Asia has been estimated as a rich food, since in dried form it contains about 40% Glucomannan, and thus represents an important source for the nutrition. Clinical studies from America prove: The Konjac root has the sensational property that can saturate the user, and hence support weight reduction.
Important to know: The Konjac root must not be confused with the French brandy cognac. Named after the French city of Cognac, the drink is produced from white wine and has nothing to do with the konjac root we use.

Glucomannan is a dietary fiber that is extracted from konjac root (Amorphophallus Konjac). Due to its high water binding capacity, it is highly satiable. The effect of glucomannan has been confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

What is the difference to other manufacturers?

Because the effects make the difference: The capsules from Konjac flour are cheap, but not very effective, in which the proportion of glucomannan is very low. On the other hand, in the Konjac extract its percentage is up to 95% high, and hence it leads to better results. While the Glucomannan capsule is fully swollen with the Konjac extract, the capsule with the Konjac flour forms only 1/3 of the mass.
